Working principle of RCO

RCO regenerative catalytic combustion equipment (referred to as RCO) is an organic waste gas treatment equipment that combines low-temperature catalytic oxidation with thermal storage technology. It is used as an environmental protection equipment for purifying medium and high concentration (1000mg/m ³ -8000mg/m ³) organic waste gas. RCO regenerative catalytic combustion equipment is developed on the basis of RTO regenerative incineration equipment. A layer of catalyst is arranged on the regenerative ceramic layer of the regenerative equipment to catalyze the combustion and decomposition of the incoming exhaust gas into carbon dioxide and water at 200 ° C-400 ° C, thereby achieving the purpose of purifying the exhaust gas.
The exhaust gas enters the thermal storage bed of RCO and is gradually heated by the thermal storage ceramic to the required catalytic oxidation temperature. After that, it reacts with the catalyst for oxidation and enters the combustion chamber. VOCs release heat during the catalytic oxidation process, and the hot air formed exchanges heat with the accumulating ceramics when passing through another thermal storage bed, accumulating heat to reduce the consumption of auxiliary fuels. As the thermal storage ceramic is heated by hot air, the temperature of the oxidized clean gas gradually decreases, causing the average outlet temperature to be slightly higher than the RCO inlet temperature, with a typical temperature rise of about 30 ° C.
By switching the pneumatic valves at the bottom of different thermal storage beds, the direction of exhaust gas entering the ceramic is changed, achieving the alternating conversion between the thermal storage zone and the heat release zone.
The combustible components in harmful gases decompose under the action of catalysts, and for CnHm and organic solvents, steam oxidation decomposes to produce CO2 and H2O, releasing a large amount of heat.
